Apple to Invest in Manufacturing Plant in Indonesia, Minister Confirms

Tech giant Apple is set to invest in a manufacturing plant in Indonesia that will produce components for smartphones and other products, Indonesia’s investment minister announced on Thursday.

Minister Rosan Roeslani told reporters that negotiations between Apple and Indonesia are still in progress as they finalize the details of the investment.

Earlier this week, the minister indicated that Indonesia is anticipating a $1 billion investment from the company.
