Hong Kong’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained stable at 3.1% for the September to November period, unchanged from the previous three months, according to a government report released on Tuesday.

Chris Sun, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, noted, “The labor market should stay largely stable in the near term, although some sectors may face challenges due to rising uncertainties in the global economy and escalating trade tensions.”

The number of unemployed individuals dropped by 1,000, from 120,700 to 119,700. Additionally, the underemployment rate decreased by 600, falling from 42,300 to 41,700.
