Jeff Bezos “Very Optimistic” About Trump’s Second Term, Calls for Regulatory Cuts

Published on

In a recent interview at The New York Times’ DealBook Summit, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos shared his optimism regarding President-elect Donald Trump’s second term, particularly in relation to potential regulatory cutbacks.

“I’m actually very optimistic this time around,” Bezos stated, emphasizing Trump’s focus on reducing regulations. “He seems to have a lot of energy around this issue. If I can help do that, I’m going to help him.”

Bezos stressed the need for regulatory reform, saying, “We do have too many regulations in this country.”

When discussing Elon Musk, who is expected to play a significant role in regulatory changes during Trump’s term, Bezos expressed confidence that Musk would not use his influence to undermine his competitors, noting that he owns Blue Origin, a competitor to Musk’s SpaceX.
